Check the networks, not just “USDC”: send on Solana; receive on Ethereum mainnet. Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, and other networks are different destinations.

You are changing networks while keeping USDC as the asset

USDC exists on more than one blockchain. Circle lists native USDC deployments on both Solana and Ethereum. A USDC balance held on Solana does not become an Ethereum balance simply because you choose an Ethereum address in a sending app. This route uses an exchange order to accept one network’s asset and deliver the other.

The sending choice in the form is USDC Solana, identified as USDCSOL. The receiving choice is USDC ERC20, identified as USDCETH. ERC20 here refers to USDC on Ethereum mainnet. Read both network labels before creating the order. A matching USDC ticker on the two sides is not enough to establish the correct route.

The token’s issuer provides the authoritative starting point for checking its identity. Use Circle’s USDC contract and mint address list if you are uncertain about the token in your wallet. A familiar name or icon can be copied. Confirm the network and the token identifier together.

A token contract or mint address identifies the asset; it is not your personal deposit address. Do not paste Circle’s contract address into the exchange’s receiving field. Your receiving wallet or platform supplies your deposit address. The distinction matters because both pieces of information may be labelled “address,” even though they serve completely different jobs.

Start with the place that needs the USDC

Before moving anything, open the destination. If it is a personal Ethereum wallet, select the account where you want the funds and make sure you can view USDC on Ethereum mainnet. If it is a payment request or a custodial platform, open its current USDC deposit instructions and read the supported network explicitly.

An address beginning with 0x does not by itself prove that Ethereum mainnet is the correct network. Other EVM networks use the same address format. The destination’s network instructions decide which route you need. This page is appropriate only when that destination expects USDC on Ethereum, not merely an address that looks compatible.

If the destination is an exchange account, check whether USDC deposits on Ethereum are currently enabled and whether the account has a minimum deposit. The destination may need confirmations before it credits the balance. Those conditions are separate from the swap order. An on-chain payout and the platform’s internal credit are related but distinct events.

If you are paying someone, ask for the asset and network together: “USDC on Ethereum mainnet.” Confirm the amount they expect to receive and their current address. A request saying only “send USDC” leaves a material detail unresolved. It is better to settle that detail before creating an order than to discover a network mismatch after payout.

If the requested destination is actually Base, Arbitrum, or another network, use the main swap form to check the appropriate supported route. Do not use this Ethereum route as a substitute and hope the receiving service will move the balance for you. The receiving network should match from the outset.

Prepare the Solana balance and Ethereum address

Confirm that the sending token is native USDC

Open the USDC asset details in the sending wallet. Check the network and, where necessary, its mint identifier against Circle’s official list. A bridged or wrapped token with a similar name may represent a different asset. The order on this page expects the supported native USDC on Solana, not every token that contains USDC in its name.

If the wallet labels the token ambiguously, resolve the identity before creating the deposit. Do not use a small incompatible transfer as a token test. That still creates a recovery problem. The wallet’s asset details and issuer documentation are the appropriate tools for deciding whether the route matches your holdings.

Keep the ability to pay the Solana transaction charge

For a normal transfer from your own Solana wallet, network transaction fees are paid in SOL. Having USDC alone may not be enough to submit that transaction. Open the wallet’s sending preview and check what it requires. Some services may abstract or sponsor fees, but do not assume that applies to the wallet you are using.

Reserve what the wallet currently requires rather than following a fixed SOL amount from an old article. The sending preview should show whether the transaction can proceed. A failed attempt caused by an unavailable network balance is a sending-wallet issue; it does not mean the USDC should be sent over a different network.

Copy the destination from its own Receive or Deposit screen

Use the intended Ethereum account’s receiving address. If the destination is another service, use the deposit instructions for USDC on Ethereum specifically. Compare the pasted address with the source before creating the exchange order. Avoid taking it from an unrelated token transfer or an old screenshot when a current deposit screen is available.

Receiving USDC in a normal personal Ethereum account does not require you to send ETH to the exchange as an activation payment. A later outgoing Ethereum transaction generally needs ETH for gas. Keep those two tasks separate. If a third party claims that an extra transfer will unlock a payout, verify the claim through official order support before doing anything.

The exchange, in the order you will actually do it

  1. Enter your USDC amount. The form’s starting value is editable; wait for the Ethereum USDC output to load.
  2. Paste the Ethereum receiving address. Check the receiving network and any destination deposit requirements.
  3. Review and create the order. Read the selected rate conditions and required acknowledgements.
  4. Send USDC on Solana to the order deposit. Use that order’s address, amount, and deadline.
  5. Track the payout on Ethereum. Then check the receiving wallet or platform for the credit.

The starting value of 100 USDC makes the route easy to inspect. It is not a promised minimum, a fixed output, or a recommendation about how much to exchange. Replace it with the amount you intend to send. Only proceed when the form provides a valid output and you understand its requirements.

Do not assume that 100 USDC sent means exactly 100 USDC received on the other network. Use the displayed output to judge whether the exchange fits your intended payment or deposit. This is especially important if a destination needs an exact amount. A one-to-one token name does not remove the exchange’s costs or order conditions.

If the destination has an exact payment requirement, check that requirement against the output before funding. Allow for the selected rate conditions and any constraints imposed by the receiving platform. Do not promise a merchant an amount based only on what you entered in the sending field. The amount at the destination is the figure that matters for the payment.

Once the order exists, copy its Solana deposit address into the sending wallet’s USDC transfer. Do not copy your Ethereum receiving address into that screen. The exchange already has that address for the payout. Your current task is to deliver the instructed USDC deposit on Solana to the order.

Review the sending wallet’s final confirmation. It should show the expected token, Solana as the network, the order’s destination, and the intended amount. Check any transaction charge and confirm only if the details agree. Save the resulting transaction signature or transaction link so that the deposit can be identified later.

When withdrawing from a custodial platform instead of a personal wallet, check the amount that platform will actually send after its withdrawal charge. Also check whether the withdrawal is immediately available. The order’s payment deadline still matters while the sending platform is processing the request. An internal withdrawal reference is not the same as an on-chain transaction.

Find the payout without mixing the two blockchains

There are two network records to keep separate: the USDC deposit on Solana and the USDC payout on Ethereum. Your sending wallet provides the Solana transaction reference. The exchange order provides information about its progress and payout. Do not paste a Solana transaction signature into an Ethereum explorer and interpret the absence of a result as a lost transfer.

If the order reports a payout, check its Ethereum transaction information and the intended destination. Open the receiving wallet on Ethereum mainnet. A wallet still displaying Solana, Base, or another network may not show the relevant USDC balance even when the Ethereum transfer exists.

A wallet can also hide a supported token from its main asset list. Follow the wallet developer’s instructions to display USDC if necessary, using Circle’s official Ethereum contract information to identify the token. Adding a token display does not move funds between networks. It changes what the wallet shows for the selected account and network.

If the destination is a custodial service, distinguish an Ethereum transaction arriving at its address from the service crediting your account. Check its required confirmations, deposit status, and current network availability. If the payout record is correct but the account remains uncredited, give the receiving service the transaction hash and its own deposit details through its official support channel.

For a personal wallet, check the USDC token balance as well as the account’s ETH balance. USDC is not ETH, so an unchanged ETH balance does not establish that the USDC payout is missing. Use the token’s transaction record to reconcile the result. If you intend to send the USDC onward, check the wallet’s ETH gas requirement before that separate transaction.

If you discover a wrong-network transfer, changing the network selected in your wallet afterward does not rewrite the transaction. Collect the exact token, network, transaction reference, and destination. Ask the service controlling the destination to assess what happened. Do not pay an unsolicited “recovery agent” or provide wallet recovery words to someone claiming to reverse the transfer.

If an order expires or receives a different amount, use its displayed resolution options or AceChange support. Do not send a top-up without instructions tied to that specific order. Our refund information explains where to begin; the correct resolution depends on the actual transfer and order state.

A useful support message says which side needs attention. For example: “My Solana deposit has this transaction signature, but the order still shows waiting,” or “The order gives this Ethereum payout hash, but the receiving platform has not credited it.” Include the order reference privately. That is enough to start a focused investigation without exposing unrelated wallet information.

Short answers before you move USDC

Can I simply send Solana USDC to an Ethereum address?

Use the exchange order to change networks. A standard sending transaction does not turn Solana USDC into Ethereum USDC. On this page, your outgoing transfer goes to the order’s Solana deposit address; your Ethereum receiving address is used for the separate payout.

Is this the same as swapping SOL into ETH?

No. Here the asset remains USDC while its network changes. SOL and ETH are the native currencies of the respective blockchains and have separate roles in ordinary transaction fees. If you intend to exchange SOL for ETH, use the SOL-to-ETH page instead.

Does this require me to connect both wallets?

The form uses an address for the payout and gives you deposit instructions for the sending transfer. Make that payment in your own wallet. You do not need to connect both wallets to this page to enter their public addresses. Our wallet-connection guide explains this workflow.

Is the receiving USDC on Base or Ethereum?

Ethereum mainnet. The receiving option on this page is USDC ERC20 / USDCETH. Base is a different network even though addresses can have the same format. If your destination requires Base, stop and check a route that explicitly names Base rather than using the Ethereum option.

Where do I find the correct USDC contract address?

Use Circle’s official contract and mint list linked above. Select the entry for the network you are checking. Use that identifier to verify or display the token, not as a personal receiving address. Obtain your own receiving address from the destination wallet or platform.

What if I want to convert in the opposite direction?

This page starts with Solana as the source and Ethereum as the destination. An opposite-direction exchange needs the opposite sending and receiving options, a fresh quote, and its own deposit instructions. Do not reuse the current order with reversed assumptions. Check the requested direction in the main swap form.

If the USDC is intended for a payment or account deposit

Work backward from the receiving requirement before you fund the swap. Open the invoice or deposit screen and verify three details together: USDC, Ethereum mainnet, and the destination address. Then check whether the recipient requires a specific amount or simply credits whatever arrives above a stated minimum. These two situations need different amount checks.

For an exact payment, read the recipient’s current instructions about underpayments, overpayments, and payment deadlines. Compare the form’s receiving amount with the amount due under the selected order conditions. If you cannot confidently align them, clarify the requirement with the recipient before sending. Do not create a second transfer afterward as an improvised correction without checking how the recipient handles it.

For an account deposit, make sure the destination supports crediting the type of payout you will receive and that the account can currently accept deposits. A platform may provide network choices that change over time. Use its current authenticated deposit screen rather than a general help article or someone else’s example address.

Keep the invoice reference or account deposit reference in your own records alongside the exchange order. The order identifies the swap; the invoice or receiving-platform reference identifies why you made it. These references are not interchangeable. When asking a recipient to investigate a payment, provide the Ethereum payout hash rather than only the Solana deposit signature.

If the recipient says the funds have not arrived, first check whether the order has actually paid out. If it has, compare the Ethereum destination and USDC token transfer with the recipient’s instructions. If those agree, ask the recipient to check its crediting process. If they do not agree, stop and investigate the mismatch with the relevant service.

For a payment with a strict deadline, leave enough time for the sending platform, exchange processing, receiving network, and recipient’s own confirmation process. This page cannot turn those stages into a guaranteed delivery time. A current quote tells you the offered exchange amount; it does not promise that a merchant will mark an invoice paid by a particular minute.

Destination confirmed as USDC on Ethereum?

Enter the amount above, check the output, and review the receiving address. After creating the order, send only the instructed USDC deposit on Solana.
